Introduction:
Begin with a headline about a company facing community protests to capture interest. Ask students what they already know about people who can affect a business. Explain that today they will be able to list, classify, and evaluate those stakeholders.
|
Lesson Structure:
- Do‑now (5'): Quick revision checklist – students answer four questions on stakeholder groups.
- Mini‑lecture (10'): Define stakeholder, present internal/external and primary/secondary classifications with slides.
- Sorting activity (15'): In groups, students place sticky‑note cards of stakeholder examples onto a poster showing the four categories.
- Case‑study analysis (15'): Groups complete a stakeholder matrix for a brief business scenario and discuss potential influence.
- Whole‑class debrief (10'): Groups share key findings; teacher highlights common patterns and correct misconceptions.
|
Conclusion:
Summarise the four stakeholder categories and their strategic importance. For the exit ticket, each student writes one stakeholder and one way it can influence business decisions. Homework: research a local business and create a simple stakeholder map.
