Begin with a quick poll: which leadership style do you think you naturally use? Review prior knowledge of basic management functions, then outline today’s success criteria – you will be able to identify, compare and evaluate the main leadership styles and justify the most suitable style for a given scenario.
Lesson Structure:
  1. Do‑now (5') – Students complete a short questionnaire on their preferred leadership approach.
  2. Mini‑lecture (10') – Present overview of five leadership styles using slides.
  3. Comparative analysis activity (12') – In pairs, students fill a Venn diagram contrasting advantages/disadvantages of two assigned styles.
  4. Whole‑class discussion (8') – Groups share findings; teacher highlights key points and adds missing aspects.
  5. Case study application (15') – Teams receive a business scenario and decide which style to adopt, justifying their choice.
  6. Check for understanding (5') – Quick quiz via Kahoot or exit ticket.
Conclusion:
Summarise the main strengths and limitations of each leadership style and how context influences choice. Students complete an exit ticket stating which style they would adopt in a future managerial role and why. Assign homework to research a real‑world leader and evaluate their leadership style.
