Lesson Plan
Grade: Date: 17/01/2026
Subject: Business
Lesson Topic: how cooperation between management and the workforce can be of benefit to both
Learning Objective/s:
  • Describe the benefits of cooperation for both management and the workforce.
  • Explain how joint goal‑setting and participative decision‑making improve organisational performance.
  • Analyse a case study to identify how cooperation leads to productivity and profit gains.
  • Design a simple plan to foster cooperation in a workplace setting.
Materials Needed:
  • Projector and screen
  • Whiteboard and markers
  • Printed TechCo case‑study handout
  • Worksheet with guided questions
  • Flip chart and sticky notes
  • Exit‑ticket slips
Introduction:

Begin with a quick visual of a factory floor where workers and managers are brainstorming together. Ask students to recall any real‑world examples where cooperation improved outcomes. Explain that by the end of the lesson they will be able to list key benefits and create a basic cooperation plan.

Lesson Structure:
  1. Do‑now (5') – Think‑pair‑share: each pair lists one benefit of cooperation they have observed.
  2. Mini‑lecture (10') – Present the main benefits for management and workforce, using a slide and the suggested flowchart diagram.
  3. Case‑study analysis (15') – In small groups read the TechCo case and answer guided questions on outcomes and mutual gains.
  4. Whole‑class discussion (10') – Groups share insights; teacher highlights the link between cooperation and performance.
  5. Strategy workshop (15') – Teams design a cooperation plan applying the five “How to Foster Cooperation” steps; record ideas on flip chart.
  6. Reflection & exit ticket (5') – Students write one concrete action they could take in a future workplace to promote cooperation.
Conclusion:

Summarise how shared communication, joint problem‑solving, and mutual incentives create a virtuous cycle of performance and reward. Collect exit tickets to gauge understanding and assign homework: research a real company that uses profit‑sharing and prepare a brief summary of its impact.
