Introduction:
Entrepreneurial success often hinges on a clear, well‑structured business plan. Recall our previous lesson on market research and how it feeds into planning. By the end of today’s session you will be able to name every key element, explain its purpose, and begin drafting an executive summary.
Lesson Structure:
  1. Do‑now – Mind‑map of business‑plan components (5’).
  2. Mini‑lecture with slides covering the 10 core elements (10’).
  3. Guided analysis of a sample plan: students label each element (10’).
  4. Group activity – complete a business‑plan template for a fictional start‑up using sticky notes (15’).
  5. Whole‑class debrief & Q&A to clarify misunderstandings (3’).
  6. Exit ticket – one‑sentence summary of the most critical element (2’).
Conclusion:
We reviewed each component of a business plan and saw how they interlink to support strategic decisions. Students submit an exit ticket summarising the element they found most vital, and for homework they will draft a one‑page executive summary for the fictional start‑up.
