Introduction: Begin with a quick poll: “What examples of international aid have you heard about recently?” Connect these examples to students’ prior knowledge of trade and development. Conclusion: Summarise how aid can boost income and human capital but may also create dependency or distort incentives. Ask each student to write one “key takeaway” on an exit ticket and submit it before leaving. For homework, assign a short reflective paragraph evaluating a recent aid program of their choice using the effectiveness criteria discussed. |
